Recruiting for the Region of Rohan Recruiting is an essential part of maintaining the health and long term prosperity of Rohan. The following is a guide to the art of recruiting that it is hoped will keep your efforts to a minimum and your patience not too sorely tested.

When new nations are founded they arrive in the
Pacific regions linked below.

Send the nation an invite via telegram (an
example of which is below) and should you strike lucky please make sure to
message them once they have arrived in Rohan to make sure they don't feel
like just another number.
Please note that
you will need to edit this example to show your nations name instead of "1. Click on The Rhosgobel Wizard World of Radagast the Birdtamer"
before using it to cut and paste.

Greetings fellow NationState, I would like to offer you an invitation to join the land of Rohan. Rohan and its neighbouring regions form a large network of Tolkien-inspired groups for those who like to play NationStates in a different setting or simply for people who admire Tolkien's works. As a Rohan nation, you will be joining a medium-sized and rapidly growing group but will still have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the way that the region develops. In contrast to many other regions, we have a superb regional site which can be found at: http://rohan.eorlingas.org/ Regional members are encouraged to visit the website and join in our forum and chat-room. Rohan offers many opportunities to get involved in different aspects of NationStates including a wide range of roles in local, international and military affairs. We also have areas dedicated to new NationStates members who will find help and advice in learning some aspects of the game. If you would like to join Rohan, you would be most welcome. On the line just above the latest UN Report, click on Move to Rohan |
Points to watch out for:
1) The regions "Pacific" "North Pacific" are player-created regions and
you cannot advertise there. The "Feeder" regions are all prefixed by "The"
2) You will often see several nations recently founded in the Regional
Happenings. Send to the more recently founded nations first. You will not
be the only nation recruiting so it is better to get the first invite in
3) Don't expect a large response rate. Often it can be as little as 1 in
20 who accept the invite and even these might not be very active. If you
are lucky you'll get more than 1 in 10 (I've sent over 50 invites before
and not had a single response)
4) Keep in contact with nations who respond but are still making up their
mind. Remember that it is their choice.
5) When nations join, welcome them and try to get them to join in. Offer
advice and just generally be helpful.
6) If you're lucky enough to get more active members then your problem
will be to stop them leaving.
